Synopsis

Introduction

If you’re a fan of Disney’s Toy Story franchise, then you might be wondering about the upcoming fourth installment. The movie opens in theaters on June 21, 2019, and will star Tim Allen as Woody and Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear.

Chris Evans voices the film’s title character.

Chris Evans is a voice actor. He’s also a movie star, superhero, and good actor/person/role model.

He does the best he can with what he has been given by God (his talent) and what he has been given by Hollywood (his platform).

The movie is basically Toy Story in space.

The movie is basically Toy Story in space. It’s about an astronaut who washes up on a planet, and his toys come to life to help him conquer his fears.

Buzz Lightyear is the main character of this movie, but it’s not just him—the whole cast has been given CGI magic powers to make them look like they’re actually being animated by some genie with way too much time on his hands (and maybe a little bit of LSD). That includes Woody, Jessie, and Bo Peep among others!

It’s not a prequel or a sequel to the Toy Story franchise.

While the movie does have ties to Toy Story, it’s not a prequel or sequel. It’s a standalone film with its own story, characters, and setting.

The upcoming movie was first announced in 2014.

The upcoming movie was first announced in 2014, but it was released in 2019. It was directed by Lasseter and produced by Lasseter, who wrote the script as well.

Lasseter will direct again, and actor Tim Allen will reprise his role as Woody in the voice cast.

You may have heard that John Lasseter will direct Toy Story 4. He’s been involved in the series since it began, and he has directed every film to date.

Toy Story 4 is scheduled to be released on June 21, 2019

Disney/Pixar announced a fourth Toy Story film, set to release in theaters on June 21, 2019.

  • The film will be directed by John Lasseter and produced by Pixar President Jim Morris.
  • It will reportedly take place at a toy shop, where Andy (voiced by Tom Hanks) is trying to gather his toys for a birthday party on June 21. As he goes through each of them, one by one, we’ll see what makes them so special and why they’re worth keeping around for so long.
  • Actor Tony Hale is also set to voice an “astronaut” character called Fergie who helps Woody out with his mission throughout the movie—and you may recognize him from Arrested Development!

The buzz is building for this animated franchise!

Buzz Lightyear is a classic character, and the movie will be great too. If you’re a toy collector or have kids that love toys, then you’ve probably already heard about the buzz around this film. But even if you haven’t seen it yet—and we don’t blame anyone for not seeing it!—you should know that they’re building up excitement for this animated franchise by releasing trailers at San Diego Comic-Con each year (these years were released last month).

Toy Story 3 was just as good as everyone said it would be; Toy Story 2 was better than most people expected; Toy Story 1 was better than most people thought possible…

Conclusion

I’m excited to see what Toy Story 4 brings us next. This franchise has been incredible for Disney and Pixar, and I think Chris Evans is an excellent choice to voice the main character of this next film. Toy Story 4 will be released in theaters in June 2019, so check out the trailer below and let me know what you think!
